Seb is brother to Christian of Urban Forage. He is their lead forager and resident fungal fanatic. A former head chef and purveyor of the Brighton Sunday roast, Seb was most interested in making the best Yorkshire puddings until he teamed up with his brother to run a busy pub franchise in Central Brighton. The Menu focused on foraged ingredients, and it quickly turned his foraging hobby into a way of life. After a lucky find In a local woodland, truffles became a new obsession and he learnt all he could, from French texts to any books he could get hold of. He has a unique skill for finding truffles without the use of dogs, although he has his own little helper who is crucial for him finding the most ripe ones! Join him on a truffle special foray where he'll be sharing his knowledge on truffles, how to locate the right areas and right trees, followed by a demonstration of how to find the truffles lurking underground. Seb is mostly drawn to the sustainability of foraging, as well as the positive benefit to physical and mental health, and he passionately delivers this with his workshops at Urban Forage. He also runs a community plot growing organic veg for food banks across Brighton
