Teaching Underground: Bringing Fungi into Early Years Education

Matt is an excitable conservation mycologist and Senior Specialist for Fungi at Natural England. Passionate about education, he sits on the Education and Outreach Committee of the BMS as Education champion. His PhD was in the ecology and conservation of heart-rot ecology from Cardiff University and he is a Churchill Fellow for research on international approaches to fungal conservation. He is raising two mini-mycologists who occasionally permit him the time to foray.
