Paul Treichl

Paul is an Austrian critical biodesigner, spatial practitioner, and multidisciplinary artist working across performance, research, education, and publishing. His work investigates and stages encounters between multispecies bodies, matter, and environments, translating complex ecological and planetary systems into public, experiential forms through biodesigned artefacts, writing, workshops, exhibitions, and educational frameworks. He has presented artworks, workshops, and lectures internationally and is the founder and editor of Feral Worlding, a biannual journal on biodesign and ecological practice. His current projects include the Department for Planetary Education, an initiative advancing learning through living organisms and ecosystems, and Multispecies Maintenance, a research project interrogating care, repair, and regenerative longevity in more-than-human built environments, supported by a fellowship at the Westminster Law & Theory Lab.
