Who is the festival for?

Whether you're a mushroom lover, a nature wanderer, or just looking for a weekend under the trees, you're warmly invited. Our festival is a celebration of the weird and wonderful world of fungi, yes, but also of art, science, community, curiosity, and wellness. We encourage nature connection and sharing the joy of simply being outdoors.

You don’t need to know anything about mushrooms to have a great time here. Come for the forest walks, the campfire chats, the stargazing, or the chance to unplug and breathe fresh air. All skill levels, all backgrounds, all identities, everybody is welcome. We’re committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space where everyone can feel at ease to explore, connect, and just be themselves.

Whether you can name every Latin species or just think mushrooms look cool, there’s something here for you.

We have zero tolerance for hate, harassment, or threatening behaviour— the festival reserves the right to remove anyone from the event who demonstrates such behavioor.

Please be aware, however, these will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis and will require proof of receipt of relevant benefit (such as Universal Credit) sent to us before a ticket will be issued. Email us titled “Concession Ticket” option, attach your evidence, and we will send you a purchase link. These tickets sell out quickly, so if you would prefer to guarantee your space, we have a payment plan option available to spread the cost into smaller chunks.

Please see our travel info page for full details of how to find us.

A lift share thread is pinned on our Facebook page > https://www.facebook.com/events/1355435769289676/?active_tab=discussion

Where can I camp and can I take my car on site?

Please ensure you bring no more than you are able to carry to the campsite, for health and safety reasons, cars have to be parked away from our main camping areas. It is a very short walk.

Can I bring my campervan or caravan?

Yes. If you are bringing a campervan, caravan or similar live-in vehicle please purchase a live-in vehicle pass. It will save you time if you do this in advance although you can do this on the day if necessary.  We aim for each live-in vehicle pitch being around 5m x 6m, although there may be slight flexibility on this. We try to avoid mixing tents and live-in vehicles as much as possible although reasonably-sized awnings are fine. See tickets page.

What is the camping set up?

There is a communal fire to toast your toes, but please do not build your own camp fire anywhere. Do make sure you bring enough warm bedding to avoid being nippy at night. You need to bring all of your own camping set up. A camping chair or something to sit on. There’s no light pollution, so bring a normal torch or UV torch for late-night trundles. Waterproof clothing is always useful in the British weather, fingers crossed we don’t need them! If you’d rather glamp, there is more information about this on the website.

What should I bring with me?

Walking shoes or boots will be essential for the forays some of the terrain is uneven and steep. Be prepared for a weekend camping, outdoor clothes and wet weather gear in the event of rain. Warm clothes and an extra blanket at night. Snacks and a water bottle. We're asking people to take their own rubbish home so please consider what you bring in site. Leave no trace.

Can I build a fire?

Personal campfires (for either cooking or warmth) are not allowed anywhere on site – we provide communal fires instead. Please do not light candles or solid fuel fires inside your tent at any time. Always be mindful of fires of any kind.

For any allergies or dietary requirements, please check with the individual vendors.

from You can bring all of your food preparation and cooking utensils to self-cater, but we do not allow open-fire cooking or BBQs. Keep camp stoves away and out of tents, placed on a stable surface.

Is this an alcohol-free event?

We will not be selling alcoholic drinks. We have an alcohol-free 'Funky Fungi Bar' serving Sentia cocktails and soft drinks. Sentia are non-alcoholic botanical drinks designed to stimulate your GABA receptors, made by the amazing Professor David Nutt.

If you choose to bring drinks, we request that you drink responsibly.

We're asking you to recycle all that you bring and leave no trace! Please limit the amount of glass and plastic waste; decant and remove any packaging before arrival.

On a practical level, we ask that you take any rubbish that you bring home with you.

Is there free drinking water?

There is free drinking water from communal taps; please bring a water bottle and a reusable cup. If you are preparing food, it can be useful to bring a small washing bowl for washing up.

Yes, we have accessible toilets. An accessible toilet will be in the designated accessible camping area.
