Volunteer at All Things Fungi Festival

We’re looking for volunteers to help us run All Things Fungi Festival. It’s a great way to get involved, meet people, and experience the festival from behind the scenes.

Who is this form for?

This is a compulsory application form for those who are serious about wanting to come volunteer for All Things Fungi 2025. If you are still not sure and have unanswered questions, please get in touch via email. We would love to talk to you!

Things you need to know

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. We see the All Things Fungi Festival crew as a team, a community and a family. We appreciate the hard work of everyone equally. We ask that volunteers do 2 x 6hr shifts for their weekend ticket and either arrive early on Thursday or stay Sunday eve to help with set up/take down (1 of the 2). (Full details of requirements below).

What will you be doing?

The types of roles we are looking to fill consist largely of observational and operational duties, providing public help and assuring safety. Further details of roles with an opportunity to select your preferences are below.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring all your own camping equipment. Please be sure to bring plenty of warm and dry clothing for the autumnal weather. Don't forget your sleeping bags and roll matts! We will provide any equipment or high-vis-wear required to perform duties.

How do I get to the festival?

We assume all volunteers can get to & from the festival site themselves. However, should you need help, we encourage you to engage with other volunteers in our WhatsApp chat to lift shares where possible.

What benefits will we provide?

Crew Meals & Facilities

We provide one hot meal per crew per festival day (Fri, Sat, Sun) from our festival cafe - so 3 meals in total. You will be given a food token card on arrival that you must present to be marked off to collect this meal. You will be able to camp in our crew field separate to the festival goers. Toilet and free shower facilities are available on site for all.

Mostly Unlimited Forays

We will have a number of forays running all day through-out the festival. As a volunteer you will be allowed to attend any foray of your choice whilst off duty, providing you are happy to wear high-vis and offer any assistance necessary to the foray leader should they need it.

We need to make sure there is at least one volunteer attending each foray - so if there are certain ones with alot of volunteers going - we will ask you to choose a different one. On Friday you can sign up for the ones you want to go to on a first come first serve basis.

Rotating

We will do everything we can to take your preferences into consideration for we gratefully appreciate your help. Our volunteer community is a vital aspect of the festival and it would not be possible without you. Once the line-up is announced, we will send out a survey to get all your preferences for artists and speakers which we will use to develop the rota.

Festival Hours and Volunteer Requirements

The public festival hours are from 9am Friday 12th Sept 2025to Midnight Sunday 14th Sept 2025 with festival goers allowed to stay Sunday evening and leave by 1pm Monday 15th Sept 2025. Volunteers are required between the above times  to do 2 x 6 hour shifts during public festival hours Fri-Sun. In addition, must either arrive Thursday morning (no later than 11am) or stay until Monday afternoon (leave no earlier than 3pm) to assist with either set-up or take down.

What if I can't meet the above requirements?

Note preference is given to volunteers who are able to attend the festival in the manner described above, however If you can only do so for a limited time, please still complete this application form so we have your information as you may still be considered for a place subject to volunteer space availability.

What happens next?

Once you have completed this form - we will be in touch to confirm your space.

Once again thank you for your interest - each year the festival is expanding its community and we can't wait to see what this year has in store and to meet you or welcome you back.

Sincerely,

The ATF Crew
