Fat Fox Mushrooms

Fat Fox Mushrooms is an urban mushroom lab based in North London, dedicated to making the fascinating world of fungi and mushroom cultivation accessible to everyone. We produce a wide range of indoor and outdoor mushroom grow kits, specialising in both UK native strains and unusual gourmet and medicinal species . We’re always looking for new and interesting mushrooms that people can successfully cultivate at home - even without any previous experience! This year, we launched our Mushroom Cultivation Mentorship Programme, a hands-on, week-long experience where students learn every stage of commercial mushroom production: from farm setup and substrate preparation to sterile laboratory techniques. We’ve loved meeting the next generation of mushroom farmers and mycologists and helping them develop their skills and confidence to continue their fungal journeys. Beyond growing mushrooms, we collaborate with students and researchers at London universities to develop mycelium composites to explore the potential of fungi as a sustainable alternative to conventional materials.
