Gill Ferguson is a biologist, photographer and lecturer with a passion for fungi, slime moulds and moths.
Recently, Gill has become captivated by the technique of needle-felting. She uses a barbed needle to transform wool into realistic felt, fungi sculptures, pictures and brooches.
The felty fungi workshop will give you the opportunity to make your own felt Amanita badge. You will leave with a ready to wear felt Fly Agaric brooch and the knowledge and tools to continue making badges of your own.
The workshop is free but there is a nominal charge of €10 for the following materials: 3 needle felting needles, a double layer eco wool felting mat, a pair of finger guards, a brooch back, instruction sheets and enough different colour wools to make 2 badges.
We’re excited to welcome the following incredible contributors to this year’s All Things Fungi Festival.
