Irene Antonez

Irene Antonez is a Prague-based multimedia artist of Russian origins, specialising in surreal, botanical, psychedelic-inspired paintings that explore the intersection of nature, animism, and the philosophy of psychedelics. Her work often features entheogenic fungi, plants, and microscopic organisms, inspired by her deep connection with nature and research into Indigenous knowledge and rituals. Beyond painting, she creates large-scale murals and animations, and has collaborated with other artists on interactive installation art projects. Antonez holds master’s degrees in Fine Art and Future Design from Teesside University. Her work has been showcased in various group shows and solo exhibitions alongside art festivals such as Ozora Fest in Hungary, Fungi Fest in Germany, and Fenix Fest in the Czech Republic, with pieces in private collections worldwide. She has been featured on nature and psychedelics-focused podcasts like "Welcome to the Mushroom Hour", "Mushroom Revival Podcast", "The MycoGeeky Podcast" and "Mycopreneur" and starred in the short film "Mushroom Magic", based on her art. Additionally, Antonez has conducted a psychedelic art workshop at Breaking Convention psychedelic conference in England and teaches art in Prague.
