Willow Phoenix

At Willow Phoenix our mission is to teach as many folk to weave as we can! Weaving reconnects us to nature, the very act, brings us back into the web, to our shared culture and traditions, back to the wheel of the year and the ‘now’. Of course, this involves planting thousands of trees. We are based at Wakelyns, an organic, Silvo Agroforestry farm in Suffolk, where we grow basket making varieties as part of the agroforestry. Here we are demonstrating how the trees and mycorrhizalfungal network are rejuvenating soil and biodiversity. A little beacon of hope. We can run enterprises in harmony with the earth. At All Things Fungi Festival, we are delighted to be offerImg an opportunity to come and create a beautiful little Celtic Frame Basket, we affectionately call a Berry Basket. This 2,000+ year old design includes a lovely’ Gods Eye lashing to keep you protected whilst you forage. We also have a stall stocking everything from backpacks to willow wands if you are looking for the next basket in your life. Another string to our willowy bow is creating decor from willow and paper. We love to make giant lanterns. Look out for our giant Fly Agaric lanterns 🍄🍄🍄
