Gill Ferguson

A biologist, photographer and lecturer with a passion for fungi, slime moulds and moths.  Gill uses a simple, barbed needle to transform wool into realistic, felt fungi sculptures, pictures and brooches.

On Friday, at The All Things Fungi Festival, Gill’s beginner workshop will give you the opportunity to make your own felt Amanita badge.

A nominal charge of £10 will provide you with the following materials: 3 needle felting needles, a double layer eco wool felting mat, a pair of finger guards, a brooch back, instruction sheets and enough different colour wools to make 2 badges.
You will leave with a ready to wear felt Fly Agaric brooch and the knowledge and tools to continue making badges of your own.
